After graduating from the University of Edinburgh, Kenny worked his way up across Binder Hamlyn, Coopers & Lybrand and Scott Oswald.
He went on to found Glasgow Corporate Recovery and the insolvency practice within Scott Oswald, Scotland’s largest independent accountancy firm in the 90’s. Kenny worked at RSM Tenon as partner for over 21 years, with Tenon acquiring the firm in 2001. He founded the Glasgow operations in 1995 which had a leading market share of PTDs in 2011.
He specialises in corporate restructuring and insolvency, providing services to directors, owners, legal advisors, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders. He has a long history of working in the construction, retail and licensed trade sectors, helping businesses in distressed situations.
In recent years, Kenny worked on the team who won a major insolvency contract for Northern government’s Department of Enterprises, Trade & Investment (DETI). The DETI tasked Begbies Traynor to manage historically unprecedented high levels of personal and corporate insolvencies.
Having joined Begbies Traynor, the parent company of RBR Advisory in 2014, Kenny now heads up the Scotland operations in the Glasgow office as partner.
